By definition, DiXactol
is used by discriminating monochrome photographers who
are exploring the qualities possible in the medium with
specialist solutions very different from mass produced
commercial processing products. Many photographers,
have been so surprised and pleased with the prints they
have been making from DiXactol -developed negatives
that they have sent copies to Barry Thornton, inventor
and maker of the product. He was impressed with both
the creative and technical quality of these prints,
and it gave him the idea of The Book of DiXactol.
Barry Thornton intends publishing this high quality
book of pictures made by users of DiXactol. Photographers
are invited to submit up to 5 prints made from DiXactol
negatives for inclusion in the book. There will be no
reproduction fee, but all photographers will be fully
credited, and copyright will remain with the photographer
of course. The pictures will be used for no other purpose
than the book. It will be an exciting and inspirational
publication that will bring the pictures to many interested
viewers. Send an S.A.E. to the Fine Print Photographer's
Workshop for a submission form with full conditions
of submission and acceptance, or
